A robot will definitely not be able to replace a person, especially a teacher. There are some skills, that they don’t have.
For instance good oral and written communication skills, the ability to speak in public and listen carefully, are very important for the development of the child. And this can be taught by people, not by robots.
Psychologists say that we don’t remember exactly the information that someone tells us, we remember the emotions and sensations we receive during this communication. The interaction between the student and the teacher follows the same rules. Often the personality of the teacher and charisma play an important role in the student’s attitude to the subject, and to the learning process.
Therefore, I personally think that robots won’t be the best full-time teachers. It will be good and useful for them to check childrens’ homeworks, but as a teacher who deals with students on a daily basis, they will not succeed.
