Agatha Christie was an English writer known for her detective novels and short story collections. Agatha Christie’s books became one of the most published and translated books in human history.
I love her works, especially «Murder on the Orient Express», «10 Little Negro» and «Sherlock Holmes»
The works of this writer are written in such wonderful English that people all over the world still learn the language from them. A detective is a very special genre: the main thing in it, is not describing the main characters, it is rаther describing the secret of the crime and the warm between good and evil.
I think the development of detective characters is more characteristic for modern detectives like J.K. Rowling’s novel about Strike and Robin, where the heroes and their relationships are more important than the detective work. And in classic detective stories, detectives don’t develop. I don’t understand people who blame Agatha Christie because of that.
For her time, Lady Agatha was an innovator in the detective genre, and because of this she become famous. Melodramatic plots? Rather, the plots are rooted in the foundations of English traditions and customs of the time.
